What You'll Do11
- 1Design and configure the company’s accounting and financial management platform
- 2Establish and maintain the chart of accounts and accounting policies aligned with GAAP
- 3Integrate financial systems with banking platforms and payroll providers
- 4Define internal controls and accounting procedures for data accuracy and audit readiness
- 5Produce accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- 6Ensure GAAP compliance and prepare management reporting packages
- 7Conduct variance analysis to explain budget deviations and identify risks
- 8Manage tax compliance and optimize federal and state tax credits
- 9Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- 10Oversee accounts payable cycle from vendor onboarding to payment processing
- 11Lead the finance and accounting team as the business scales
Requirements11
- 17+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- 2CPA license required and active
- 3Proven experience building or rebuilding financial infrastructure
- 4Deep technical knowledge of GAAP and month-end close process
- 5Experience managing full-cycle accounts payable operations
- 6Track record leading financial audits as primary management contact
- 7Familiarity with multi-state tax obligations and economic nexus
- 8Strong cash flow management and forecasting skills
- 9Proficiency with ERP platforms like QuickBooks NetSuite Sage
- 10Analytical skills with ability to translate data into clear narratives
- 11Self starter who thrives in ambiguity and drives results independently
