Contents Crew Chief, Disaster Restoration & Lead
Overview
Owns the leadership of a contents restoration team on disaster projects and scales operations across fire, water, mold, and storm events. You will supervise technicians, manage inventory, packing, cleaning, and transport while ensuring precise documentation and customer service. This role blends field leadership with hands-on remediation tasks and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and safety compliance. What makes this role different is direct involvement in on-site restoration while guiding a team through high-stress situations and coordinating with insurers.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and supervise Contents Technicians on restoration projects to deliver timely, high-quality results
- 2Inventory, pack, label, transport, and unpack belongings safely and accurately to protect client property
- 3Clean, deodorize, sanitize, and restore contents damaged by fire, water, mold, or smoke ensuring customer satisfaction
- 4Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and job notes for audit trails and insurance claims
- 5Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members to manage expectations and outcomes
- 6Train, coach, and support team members while maintaining quality and productivity
- 7Load, unload, and safely transport contents using company vehicles and equipment
- 8Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and safety standards
- 9Inspect completed work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction meets standards
- 10Respond to emergency restoration calls and perform other duties as assigned to support operations
Requirements9
- 15-10 years in a Crew Chief Lead role
- 2High School or GED Diploma
- 3IICRC certifications including WRT ASD and AMRT
- 4Experience in fire, smoke and odor remediation
- 5Experience in I-Cat and Contents Track Software
- 6Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
- 7Strong communication skills
