Consumer Protection Attorney, Plaintiff Side & Hybrid Tradeoffs
Overview
Own and manage a growing caseload of consumer protection actions at scale within a plaintiff-side litigation team. Work directly with the founder and a full litigation support group in a hybrid/remote California setup with court appearances as needed. You will participate in substantial settlement negotiations, depositions, motions, and state and federal court appearances, backed by a robust tech stack and strong support. This role offers autonomy, a clear path to growth, and production-driven compensation with a fair base and upside.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and manage a portfolio of consumer protection actions under FCRA FDCPA TCPA and California statutes to closure
- 2Negotiate settlements directly with defense counsel for meaningful client recovery
- 3Take and defend depositions handle law and motion and appear in state and federal court
- 4Talk to real clients about harms like financial fraud credit denials and wrongful collections to secure meaningful relief
- 5Drive outcomes with a full support team including litigation specialists paralegals and tech tools to reduce drudgery
Requirements5
- 1Active California bar admission
- 22 8 years of civil litigation experience from any background
- 3Ability to run a case and close a settlement
- 4Persuasive communicator in writing and on the phone
- 5Curious tech-forward and rigorous every citation checked every work product owned
