Construction Laborer, Concrete Removal & Demolition
Overview
The Construction Laborer will perform general construction, concrete removal, and interior demolition tasks on-site for field operations at scale. The role supports crews and operates basic power tools while driving company trucks when needed. You should be safety minded, physically able to work in demanding environments, and communicate clearly with dispatch and supervisors. This position emphasizes hands-on work, reliability, and adherence to OSHA standards.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build and assist with cutting tasks alongside saw operators using burke bars, jackhammers, and two-wheel dollies
- 2Demolish drywall, metal and wood stud walls, drop ceilings, pipes, and conduit as part of on-site projects
- 3Work with crews or independently to complete tasks safely and efficiently and read job tickets and safety plans
- 4Read and interpret daily job safety pre-task plans and communicate progress to supervisors
- 5Maintain a clean organized work area and care for tools and equipment
- 6Adhere to all safety standards and participate in travel for out-of-town assignments as needed
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2Experience with jackhammers, demolition tools, and light power equipment
- 3Experience using pneumatic and electric jackhammers, rivet busters, and power tools
- 4Safety-oriented mindset with strong situational awareness
- 5Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team or independently
- 6Must be able to lift 45 lbs or more regularly
- 7Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy materials for extended periods
- 8Must be able to work day shifts, nights, weekends, and occasional out-of-town travel
- 9Strong verbal communication and understanding of job site documentation
- 10Previous construction or demolition experience preferred
