What You'll Do9
- 1Lead mechanical design analysis and hand calculations for gas turbine components
- 2Create detailed component definition drawings and model-based definitions
- 3Support manufacturing processes through interface documentation and tolerances
- 4Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action teams
- 5Perform trade studies and generate requirements for optimized hardware designs
- 6Define engine and rig testing limits and assess test results
- 7Author technical reports and present data to cross-functional stakeholders
- 8Develop limit stacks using GD&T and tolerance analysis techniques
- 9Drive design improvements across compressors combustors turbines and external systems
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years design experience
- 2Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
- 3Expertise with Siemens NX CAD software and GD&T principles
- 4Proven experience designing gas turbine components including compressors combustors turbines
- 5Familiarity with engine assembly and testing procedures
- 6Programming skills in Visual Basic Python PERL C++ and MATLAB
- 7Strong background in materials structural analysis dynamics and aerothermal methods
- 8US citizenship required
