Overview
We're hiring a Compensation Business Partner to serve as the go-to expert and trusted advisor on all things compensation for a fast-scaling AI and professional services technology company. The role involves structuring competitive offers and setting salary and equity ranges grounded in rigorous market data while attracting and retaining top technical talent. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week on-site in San Francisco or New York.

- 1Partner with Leaders: Serve as a trusted advisor to EPD executives and hiring managers balancing market competitiveness internal equity and long-term business impact
- 2Guide Decisions: Provide clear data-driven guidance on candidate offers promotions and pay adjustments
- 3Enable Recruiting: Collaborate with recruiters to build compelling market-aligned offers
- 4Develop Training Tools: Create coaching materials and tools so recruiters and hiring managers can confidently discuss compensation and equity
- 5Drive Market Insights: Analyze compensation data from external surveys and benchmarks to set and continually refine salary bands and equity ranges
- 6Simplify Complexity: Translate compensation philosophy into clear accessible guidance for stakeholders at all levels
- 7Scale Programs: Build and evolve compensation infrastructure as the company grows rapidly across geographies and functions
Requirements11
- 1Proven experience in a compensation business partner or total rewards role supporting technical engineering functions at a high-growth technology company
- 2Strong analytical skills comfortable pulling modeling and interpreting compensation data to make and communicate recommendations
- 3Deep familiarity with equity compensation stock options RSUs and explaining equity value to candidates and employees

- 5Excellent stakeholder management skills advising senior leaders with confidence and influence without authority
- 6Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving ambiguous environment
- 7Strong communicator who can simplify complex topics into clear actionable guidance
- 8Experience working closely with recruiting teams on offer design and candidate communication
- 9Prior experience at an AI developer tools or enterprise SaaS company
- 10Exposure to global compensation across multiple geographies
- 11Background building or redesigning compensation frameworks from early stages
