Overview

Support pet owners and families by providing empathetic guidance, referrals, and resources to keep pets with loving homes. Collaborate with shelter staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and excellent service while developing community outreach initiatives. This role offers growth into expanded outreach responsibilities and events management.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and manage client communications across in person, phone, email and form submissions to connect families with resources
  • 2Design and deliver compassionate counseling and referrals to keep pets with loving families
  • 3Coordinate intake, adoption returns, and requests for pet help with shelter operations
  • 4Arrange and monitor medical appointments and transportation for owned animals
  • 5Assist with daily operations, data entry, and records to ensure continuity of care
  • 6Support volunteers and build community partnerships to expand LifeLine's impact
  • 7Develop and implement community education programs and outreach materials
  • 8Monitor and maintain a calendar of events and coordinate community engagement activities
  • 9Cultivate relationships with local businesses and leaders to identify needs and mobilize resources
  • 10Contribute to ongoing training and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements11

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2One or more years experience in animal related field preferred
  • 3Experience in customer service, social work, animal welfare, or related field preferred
  • 4Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations
  • 5Ability to research and communicate available resources clearly
  • 6Detail oriented with excellent record keeping
  • 7Team oriented with willingness to collaborate across departments
  • 8Comfort in fast paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changes
  • 9Cultural competency and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • 10Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts with reliable transportation
  • 11Must pass a background check
