What You'll Do9
- 1Provide skilled information referral and incident intake services for hate bias incidents via 211 Central Maryland
- 2Utilize active listening trauma informed engagement and culturally responsive practices during assessments
- 3Maintain confidentiality and accurately document incidents using iCarol and reporting platforms
- 4Offer referrals to legal aid mental health victim advocacy and crisis services while assisting with barrier identification
- 5Conduct follow up contacts to evaluate referral utilization and document outcomes
- 6Participate in hate bias incident reporting training and ongoing professional development
- 7Support outreach and public education efforts to raise awareness of reporting resources
- 8Collaborate with United Way staff OAG representatives and community providers for program coordination
- 9Perform other duties as assigned including specialized projects and pilot activities
Requirements9
- 1BA in Social Work Counseling Psychology Human Services Criminal Justice or related field with 1+ years experience
- 2Inform USA Certification obtained within two years of hire
- 3Experience with trauma informed practices crisis response victim services or related fields
- 4Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- 5Ability to navigate electronic systems databases and case documentation platforms
- 6Flexibility to work remote and in person with minimal supervision
- 7Bilingual language skills preferred
- 8Separate quiet workspace and reliable high speed internet for remote work
- 9Diverse cultural background preferred with experience serving varied populations
