What You'll Do14
- 1Conduct health education workshops on topics like insurance access and perinatal care
- 2Develop multilingual educational materials for diverse communities
- 3Coordinate community needs assessments using surveys and focus groups
- 4Lead Patient Leadership Council recruitment and facilitation
- 5Provide interpretation services for clinical and administrative interactions
- 6Manage patient registration and insurance verification processes
- 7Assist with medical records retrieval and release procedures
- 8Facilitate monthly PLC meetings and prepare evaluation reports
- 9Create welcoming patient experiences in waiting areas
- 10Handle scheduling and referrals for clinical and specialty services
- 11Process financial documentation and insurance benefit explanations
- 12Support member services with intake interviews and resource navigation
- 13Ensure HIPAA compliance during all patient interactions
- 14Participate in agency-wide events and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with two years health experience
- 2Proven experience in health education and community outreach
- 3Strong understanding of Asian immigrant community health challenges
- 4Bilingual skills in Khmer or Vietnamese preferred
- 5Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- 6Experience with medical records management and insurance systems
- 7Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities
- 8Availability for weekend and evening shifts
