What You'll Do10
- 1Develop and implement community outreach plan to promote services
- 2Inform and screen uninsured families for Medi-Cal eligibility
- 3Collaborate with local organizations to raise awareness about health insurance
- 4Create educational materials and conduct presentations for patients partners and businesses
- 5Enroll eligible patients into appropriate insurance plans
- 6Identify gaps in preventive care and address them through targeted outreach
- 7Design training program for community health workers
- 8Establish relationships with community influencers like Promotoras
- 9Participate in media events to amplify outreach impact
- 10Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
- 2Two years experience in insurance enrollment navigation community outreach public health or community relations
- 3Certified Enrollment Counselor preferred
- 4Ability to speak multiple languages especially Spanish Mandarin Vietnamese
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 6Valid California driver's license personal auto insurance MVR
- 7Knowledge of Medi-Cal Covered California and PCAP preferred
- 8Verbal and written fluency in English bilingual skills optional
- 9Physical ability to sit talk hear and use hands for computer tasks
- 10Willingness to drive regularly including evenings weekends
