Commercial Roofing Superintendent, 5+ Years Field Leadership & Travel
Overview
Lead field operations for multiple commercial roofing projects across TX OK NM AR with a team of foremen, crews, and subcontractors. Manage safety, quality, production, and schedules to meet manufacturer and project specifications. Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and office staff to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. This role requires extensive travel and a strong background in commercial roofing and crew leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and supervise day-to-day field operations across multiple commercial roofing projects
- 2Coordinate labor, material, equipment, and deliveries to align with project schedules
- 3Monitor production, labor hours, material usage, and project progress to hit milestones
- 4Enforce safety standards, conduct jobsite safety inspections and toolbox talks
- 5Perform quality inspections ensuring installations meet manufacturer and project specifications
- 6Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and office personnel to maintain documentation
- 7Maintain accurate daily project reports, RFIs, change orders, and updates
- 8Serve as on-site customer contact and provide professional project updates
- 9Participate in manufacturer inspections and ensure warranty requirements are met
- 10Identify training needs and mentor field personnel on installation, safety, and quality standards
Requirements10
- 15+ years of commercial roofing experience in Foreman or Superintendent roles
- 2Strong experience with commercial reroofing, recover systems, and full tear-offs
- 3Knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems
- 4Experience managing in-house crews and subcontractors
- 5Experience overseeing projects ranging from $10K to $1M
- 6Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
- 7Solid safety and quality-control understanding for commercial roofing
- 8Ability to identify installation issues and train crews on approved methods
- 9Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- 10Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
