Overview

You will own field operations for commercial, industrial, and multi-family roofing projects across the San Francisco Bay Area. You direct crews, enforce safety, and deliver quality on schedule and within budget. Work with TPO, PVC, EPDM, BUR, and metal roofing systems. What You'll Do10

  • 1Direct daily activities of roofing crews, foremen, and subcontractors across multiple active projects.
  • 2Recruit, coordinate, and retain qualified field personnel using industry relationships.
  • 3Assign manpower based on project schedules, production requirements, and workforce availability.
  • 4Coach and mentor field personnel to maintain productivity, accountability, and high workmanship standards.
  • 5Oversee installation of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Built-Up Roofing, Modified Bitumen, fluid-applied, metal roofing, asphalt shingle, and tile roofing systems.
  • 6Perform routine job-site inspections to verify compliance with manufacturer specs, contract documents, and building codes.
  • 7Identify installation issues early and implement practical field solutions to maintain quality and schedule.
  • 8Review flashing details, penetrations, edge conditions, drainage, and punch-list items before completion.
  • 9Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Cal/OSHA, fall protection, PPE, and heat illness prevention.
  • 10Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and maintain accurate safety documentation.

Requirements10

  • 15+ years as a Commercial Roofing Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
  • 2Demonstrated success supervising commercial, industrial, and multi-family roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
  • 3Strong working knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Built-Up Roofing, Modified Bitumen, fluid-applied, architectural sheet metal, asphalt shingles, and concrete/clay tile roofing.
  • 4Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop roofing crews.
  • 5Strong organizational, scheduling, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • 6OSHA 30 certification required; CPR and First Aid preferred.
  • 7Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • 8Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred to supervise diverse field personnel.
  • 9Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 10Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and mobile apps for daily reports and production tracking.
