What You'll Do15
- 1Produce complete accurate estimates following RTP cost guidelines
- 2Perform material takeoffs and compile estimates from quotes
- 3Review project documents for insurance bonding and scope requirements
- 4Apply overhead and profit factors to final costs
- 5Finalize and submit bids on time while attending pre-bid meetings
- 6Double-check calculations before submission and review with VP Sales & Marketing
- 7Support multi-branch market coverage by monitoring projects and communicating opportunities
- 8Maintain logs of all estimates including bid amounts and outcomes
- 9Analyze bid results to refine competitive strategy and improve hit rate
- 10Monitor competitor activity and pricing trends across markets
- 11Build relationships with contractors and customers and negotiate with suppliers
- 12Process job cost reports to verify estimate accuracy and document gaps
- 13Continuously refine estimating methods and identify value engineering opportunities
- 14Ensure clean handoff of won jobs to Operations Manager
- 15Assist with budget planning and annual sales goal preparation
Requirements10
- 1Ability to read plans specifications and perform quantity takeoffs using Excel
- 22+ years commercial roofing estimating experience with $3M+ revenue company
- 3Proven track record of producing winning profitable estimates
- 4Strong proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- 5Valid driver's license and associate's or bachelor's degree
- 6Familiarity with Procore or similar construction project management platforms
- 7Knowledge of commercial roofing systems materials and installation methods
- 8Driver's license required
- 9Experience estimating across multiple geographic markets preferred
- 10Good knowledge of commercial roofing systems materials and installation methods
