Own and scale a commercial banking team overseeing complex loan processing and documentation at Western State Bank in Phoenix. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and develop Commercial Banking Associates supporting commercial and agricultural lending to achieve measurable results
- 2Provide escalation guidance and subject matter expertise on complex loan processing and documentation
- 3Review complex loan transactions to ensure accurate reflection of terms and conditions and adherence to policies
- 4Guide pre-closing, closing, funding, and post-closing activities to ensure timely delivery
- 5Improve workflows and implement process changes across Commercial Banking and related teams to improve efficiency and accuracy
- 6Partner with lenders and internal teams to resolve complex loan issues and ensure smooth handoffs
- 7Promote responsive communication and proactively address lender and customer needs
- 8Establish clear expectations and accountability while maintaining a positive team environment
- 9Balance workloads and monitor deadlines to ensure timely completion
- 10Foster cross-training and business continuity across the team
Requirements10
- 16–9 years of commercial loan processing experience including complex transactions
- 22–3 years of management or people leadership experience
- 3Strong knowledge of the commercial lending lifecycle including documentation, closing, funding, collateral, and ongoing documentation
- 4Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop team members
- 5Experience prioritizing and distributing work in a deadline-driven environment
- 6Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify documentation or process issues
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 8Ability to handle confidential and complex information with professionalism
- 9Preferred: experience with LaserPro and commercial banking systems
- 10Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
