What You'll Do8

  • 1Build and manage a portfolio of complex Middle Market and Investor Real Estate clients, driving credit decisions that align with risk tolerance.
  • 2Evaluate creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, projections, and appraisals, and interview management teams to understand cash flows and leverage.
  • 3Structure and negotiate terms for the most complex transactions, ensuring documentation is in place and risks are mitigated.
  • 4Prepare and present credit memos to senior approvers, recommending solutions for highly complex credit challenges.
  • 5Monitor assigned credit commitments to ensure compliance with loan agreements, covenants, and payoff requirements.
  • 6Resolve problem accounts in partnership with deal teams, collaborating with Commercial Banking peers and managers.
  • 7Mentor team members and lead projects that improve credit processes across the Northeast Division.
  • 8Ensure all actions meet policy and regulatory requirements, staying current with compliance standards.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent.
  • 24+ years underwriting Investor Real Estate clients.
  • 3Strong IRE lending credit analysis skills with attention to detail.
  • 4Experience with commercial and owner-occupied real estate lending, including documentation and due diligence.
  • 5Proven ability to negotiate, manage, and amend complex credit facility legal documentation.
  • 6Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 7Strong risk management and compliance skills.
  • 8Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
