Collection Specialist, Home Infusion & AR
Overview
You will own the full collections cycle for Soleo Health's specialty infusion pharmacy, ensuring accurate and timely payment across multiple sites. You'll work remotely, collaborating with branch teams, patients, and insurance carriers to resolve balances and claims. 1-3 years of strong collections experience in home infusion or acute/specialty infusion is essential. You'll master CPR+ and Waystar systems, write detailed appeals, and report trends to management. This role offers competitive pay, flexible hours, and no weekends or holidays.
What You'll Do10
- 1Resolve outstanding account balances by researching claims and taking collection actions within your first 30 days.
- 2Review correspondence folders daily, acting on requests to prevent delays in payment.
- 3Make routine collection calls on unpaid claims, identifying errors and resolving them promptly.
- 4Identify billing errors, short payments, and cash application issues, correcting them to ensure accurate accounts.
- 5Escalate potential risks, write-offs, and status issues to management immediately when identified.
- 6Process refund requests from payers, documenting findings clearly in the company software system.
- 7Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams, patients, and insurance carriers, answering balance questions and using portals.
- 8Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, third-party contracts, and company policies.
- 9Prepare and submit secondary claims, tracking deadlines and following up on appeals.
- 10Write detailed appeals with supporting documentation to overturn denied claims.
Requirements7
- 11-3 years or more of strong collections experience, preferably in home infusion or acute/specialty infusion pharmacy.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- 3Knowledge of HCPC coding and medical terminology.
- 4Experience with CPR+ and Waystar systems is preferred.
- 5Excellent math, writing, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- 6Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and multitask in a remote environment.
- 7Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
