CNC Swiss Screw Machining Programmer, Citizen & SolidWorks
Overview
You will own CNC programming and tooling diagrams for Citizen CNC Swiss Screw Machines, turning complex prints into flawless parts for a precision healthcare manufacturer. You will bridge R&D prototypes and production-ready processes, co-developing with R&D and leading smooth transfers to scaled production. You will validate programs and set-up parameters against engineering intent and GD&T, working hands-on with tooling changes and program edits. This role offers a platform to mentor machinists, drive continuous improvement, and impact patient outcomes in a regulated environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Own CNC programming and tooling diagrams for prototypes and production parts, emphasizing cost-effective, robust methods using Citizen CNC Swiss Screw Machines.
- 2Co-develop prototypes with R&D and lead transfer into scaled production, ensuring alignment with engineering intent and GD&T.
- 3Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, models, and specifications to choose machining strategies, tooling, and operation sequences.
- 4Validate programs and set-up parameters, reducing variability and secondary ops while improving tool life, cycle time, and cost.
- 5Install or change tooling, perform set-ups, and edit programs on Citizen CNC Swiss Screw Machines to support production runs.
- 6Troubleshoot production issues on the floor, resolving problems with speed and rigor.
- 7Train machinists and set-up teams on new or optimized methods, auditing processes to elevate control and quality.
- 8Leverage SolidWorks (or similar CAD) and apply GD&T in real production contexts regularly.
- 9Support lean initiatives and uphold safety and 5S standards in the shop.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in CNC machining with introductory CNC programming experience.
- 2Experience creating, editing, validating, or supporting CNC programs for prototypes or production.
- 3Comfort reading and working from engineering drawings, models, and specs.
- 4Working knowledge of G Code and M Code.
- 5Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- 6Strong GD&T knowledge applied in production contexts.
- 7Hands-on experience with tooling changes, part set-ups, and program edits.
- 8Direct experience on Citizen CNC Swiss Screw Machines.
- 9Demonstrated ability to stabilize and optimize machining processes.
- 10High school diploma or equivalent; related college or certificate coursework is a plus.
