CNC Swiss Machinist II, Aerospace & Medical Device Manufacturing
Overview
CNC Swiss Machinist II will own the setup and operation of high precision CNC Swiss machining on second shift for customers in aerospace and medical devices. The role involves offline and online programming, setup verification, and process improvement on equipment including Citizen L12 L20 L32 Tsugami S206-II Traub TNL 20 and Star SD26-E. You will report to the supervisor and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet customer specifications. This position emphasizes hands on machining, documentation, and continuous improvement in a fast paced environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and optimize setups for in process inspection verifications to meet P&F standards
- 2Design and edit CNC programs with no supervision following P&F procedures
- 3Operate and interpret CMM reports to identify required process changes
- 4Perform visual and GD&T inspection using gages ensuring traceability
- 5Aid in the selection of tooling and establish feed and speeds for high precision parts
- 6Create process documentation to ensure QMS compliance and continuous improvement
- 7Lead and mentor Level I-III machinists to develop skills and competencies
- 8Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure safe forklift operations
- 9Provide subject matter support to Sales, Engineering and Quality teams
- 10Develop manufacturing processes for difficult and complex products with minimal documentation
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma required
- 25 to 10 years of manufacturing machining experience
- 3Strong GD&T understanding and machining methodologies
- 4Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting features of size
- 5Experience supervising CMM and automated inspection equipment
- 6ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency
- 7Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- 8Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and meet delivery requirements
- 9Effective communication skills verbal and written
- 10Must live in surrounding communities and be eligible to work in the U.S.
Salary Insight
