What You'll Do8
- 1Operate and set up CNC turning centers and secondary machines including drill presses, thread tapers, dimple presses, washing tanks, broaching presses, and honing centers.
- 2Inspect parts using GDT principles and measurement gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
- 3Apply SPC techniques and use computer software to monitor processes and maintain parts within target.
- 4Monitor machine operations and identify damaged or inferior quality products for corrective action.
- 5Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper operation.
- 6Complete departmental paperwork and electronic data entry for production tracking.
- 7Train coworkers on machine operation, adjustment, and setup procedures.
- 8Take on temporary lead role duties as needed to support production flow.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years machining/manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination.
- 2Intermediate blueprint reading skills and ability to use measurement gauges for inspection.
- 3Advanced math computation skills for reading and using gauges and blueprints.
- 4Ability to apply geometric concepts like angles and degrees for basic tooling and fixture setups.
- 5Ability to interpret GDT.
- 6Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask, such as operating one machine while setting up another.
- 7Effective communication and technical data interpretation skills.
