What You'll Do7
- 1Perform somatic variant interpretation and data review by diving into literature and databases to classify variants and match treatments for reporting
- 2Draft clinical reports using in-house reporting API while collaborating with engineering and QA teams
- 3Develop interpretation and reporting policies aligned with ACMG/AMP guidelines and latest publications
- 4Contribute to gene-level content curation focusing on domain and critical residue information
- 5Serve as subject matter expert in molecular tumor boards presenting findings to facilitate knowledge sharing
- 6Collaborate with R&D on somatic oncology projects providing expertise on variant interpretation and biological pathways
- 7Assist with oncology R&D initiatives reviewing gene/variant-level analyses and biological mechanisms
Requirements5
- 1Ph.D. in Human Genetics or related field with 2+ years experience in somatic variant interpretation
- 2Experience with human mutation databases COSMIC ClinVar OncoKB dbSNP Genome browsers UCSC IGV BAM file analysis
- 3Familiarity with cancer somatic mutation pathways and FDA approved drugs
- 4Strong attention to detail following detailed SOPs and organizational skills for tracking clinical reporting
- 5Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
