Clinical Educator, Perinatal Services at Abrazo Health Network
Overview
Own the development and delivery of perinatal nursing education across units at a large health system. Lead orientation, continuing education, and competency programs for nursing and non nursing staff in Labor/Delivery, Mother/Baby, and Lactation settings. Collaborate with clinical leadership to advance education that aligns with regulatory standards and Tenet model of professional nursing practice. Emphasize mentorship, resident development, and quality improvement to improve patient care outcomes.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver comprehensive education programs for assigned units including orientation and competency assessment
- 2Design and revise curricula to meet regulatory expectations and adult learning principles
- 3Lead preceptors and mentor nursing staff through ongoing coaching and professional development
- 4Coordinate Grand Rounds, in services, and specialty curricula to support clinical growth
- 5Foster resident education and support nurse residents leadership development
- 6Evaluate education activities for continuing education credits and impact
- 7Provide guidance on policies and procedures and participate in quality improvement activities
- 8Collaborate with academic partners and cross functional teams to align education with strategic goals
- 9Serve as a clinical education resource across multiple sites and right size learning technology implementations
- 10Support perinatal services initiatives such as fetal monitoring and designation/certification projects
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty
- 2Current State Licenses & Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP)
- 32 year nursing experience in Perinatal Services
- 4Strong knowledge of national education practice standards
- 5Ability to navigate complex healthcare environments and communicate effectively
