Clinical Administrative Support Specialist, Sleep Medicine & Patient Care
Overview
Own patient intake and clinical coordination in a growing sleep medicine practice. You will welcome patients, collect vitals, prep charts, schedule tests, and assist billing and insurance tasks at NW Portland, supporting board-certified sleep specialists. Work alongside a tight-knit team and learn sleep medicine pathways. This role blends clinical and administrative work to impact patient care directly.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build patient intake workflows for in clinic and telehealth visits to ensure accurate vitals and notes
- 2Design charts and prep materials for providers to streamline visits
- 3Lead scheduling of appointments, diagnostic sleep tests, and follow-up care to maintain patient timelines
- 4Coordinate home sleep study logistics including instructions and tracking
- 5Own processing of prescription refills and referrals with accurate documentation
- 6Drive insurance eligibility verification and benefits checks and explain basic billing questions
- 7Support administrative and billing tasks with precise patient records and documentation
- 8Collaborate with providers and staff to handle urgent requests and coverage needs
- 9Assist team with other clinic duties as needed to maintain flow of operations
Requirements10
- 11+ year of experience in a medical or clinical support setting
- 2Comfort rooming patients and taking basic vitals
- 3Strong customer service instincts and passion for patient care
- 4Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- 5Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- 6Ability to work independently and collaborate with providers
- 7Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to support clinic growth
- 8Athena EHR experience is a bonus and will be trained if needed
- 9Availability for full-time hours in NW Portland
- 10Demonstrated reliability and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
Salary Insight
$48 - $54k per year
