Overview
Own patient data integrity for a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Portland. You will handle enrollments, billing, authorizations, and client outreach across all services. What You'll Do8
- 1Enter enrollments, transfers, discharges, demographics, and insurance data into the EMR within 48 hours of intake.
- 2Outreach to individuals seeking services, schedule intakes, and document all contact in the EMR.
- 3Scan and file required documentation, ensuring all charts meet state and CCBHC compliance standards.
- 4Submit registrations, prior authorizations, and continued stay reviews to external payers, tracking each request to resolution.
- 5Monitor staff authorizations and correct unbillable events to maintain revenue cycle health.
- 6Audit charts monthly to verify presence of consents, assessments, and treatment plans, and flag missing items.
- 7Notify providers of expiring authorizations and missing paperwork, reducing claim denials.
- 8Process time-sensitive records requests from courts, payers, and partnering agencies within 5 business days.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 21+ years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
- 3Proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas) preferred.
- 4Strong customer service skills, with ability to de-escalate and guide clients.
- 5Organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- 6Experience with EMR systems, such as NextGen or Epic.
- 7Understanding of medical billing and insurance authorizations, a plus.
