What You'll Do8
- 1Greet clients and their pets with professionalism, warmth, and compassion, setting a positive tone for every visit.
- 2Answer incoming phone calls promptly, managing high-volume inquiries and triaging needs with clear communication.
- 3Schedule appointments, technician services, and follow-up visits using hospital systems, coordinating multiple calendars.
- 4Verify client and patient information, update medical records, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the day.
- 5Process payments, explain invoices, and answer billing questions with clarity and empathy.
- 6Monitor appointment schedules, communicate delays to the medical team, and adjust workflows to keep the hospital moving.
- 7Promote hospital services, wellness recommendations, boarding, and retail products when appropriate, supporting revenue goals.
- 8Maintain a clean, organized reception area, and support doctors, technicians, and assistants as hospital needs evolve.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.
- 2Veterinary reception experience is preferred, but strong client service skills from other industries are accepted.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- 4Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn multiple software systems quickly.
- 5Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail while multitasking.
- 6Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday, and to use computers, multi-line phone systems, and office equipment.
- 7Openness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- 8Strong verbal communication skills in English.
