Overview

The Client Accounts Operations Lead will own billing for top-tier institutional clients. This role serves as a subject-matter expert driving process improvements and mentoring staff. It is a remote position with hybrid flexibility across multiple offices.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide temporary managerial support in the absence of designated regional managers
  • 2Serve as Subject Matter Expert for legal billing surge support across regional teams
  • 3Review data for accuracy and submit accrual information based on client requirements
  • 4Research and resolve electronic billing rejections and field inquiries
  • 5Analyze legal billing processes to develop metrics and drive efficiency improvements
  • 6Track and resolve tickets from the Accounting Service Desk daily
  • 7Collaborate with Legal Support Services and Accounting teams to deliver streamlined billing solutions
  • 8Maintain detailed descriptions of client billing requirements and update them as needed
  • 9Create standardized department reports and generate global client LEDES files
  • 10Interface with IT to validate cross-functional project requirements and perform system testing
  • 11Support full-cycle billing operations including proforma reviews and deferral approvals

Requirements11

  • 15+ years senior-level legal billing experience managing high-volume portfolios
  • 2Expert knowledge of Aderant Legal Billing system and e-Hub or Bill Blast platforms
  • 3Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel including Lookup and PivotTable functions
  • 4Strong analytical skills with ability to identify efficiency improvement opportunities
  • 5Experience with global client unified billing and multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • 6Ability to work independently while providing backup support to multiple managers
  • 7Excellent communication skills for interacting with attorneys, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • 8High school diploma minimum; bachelor's preferred in relevant fields
  • 9Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and manage competing deadlines
  • 10Comfortable troubleshooting complex billing problems and resolving technical issues
  • 11Physical stamina for sedentary work with occasional light lifting
