Overview

As a Claims Analyst at Public Storage, you'll own the administration and monitoring of Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims across our global portfolio of self-storage facilities. You'll coordinate with TPAs, carriers, brokers, and legal counsel to ensure timely, compliant claim handling. Your analysis of loss data and trend identification will drive cost containment and risk reduction. What You'll Do10

  • 1Monitor Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims across the lifecycle, aligning with carriers and TPAs on timely handling.
  • 2Audit claim files for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility, securing missing information from operations and vendors.
  • 3Coordinate reporting, documentation, and investigation of workplace injuries and liability incidents.
  • 4Maintain precise claim records and loss data in RMIS and other systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • 5Act as liaison among Risk Management, field teams, carriers, TPAs, brokers, and legal counsel for effective resolution.
  • 6Build claim reports, loss runs, and dashboards to spotlight trends, emerging risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • 7Support return-to-work programs, state filing compliance, and regulatory audits.
  • 8Deliver claims process training to field leadership, clarifying reporting protocols and documentation standards.
  • 9Participate in claim review meetings and escalate complex, high-exposure, or litigated claims to management.
  • 10Track TPA performance and turnover, reporting issues to the claims manager.

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma required; claims certifications or licenses are a plus.
  • 23+ years in claims, risk management, or insurance operations.
  • 3Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 4Proven time management, prioritizing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • 5Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims processes.
  • 6Ability to review claim files for accuracy and compliance.
  • 7Analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and cost-containment opportunities.
  • 8Proficiency in Microsoft Office and RMIS platforms.
  • 9Collaborative skills for cross-functional and external partner engagement.
  • 10Organizational skills with attention to detail; handle confidential data professionally.
