You will own the intake and adjustment of medical-only and minor lost-time workers compensation claims under close supervision. You will analyze compensability, determine benefits due, and document claim files with precision. You will join a collaborative team of claims professionals and support senior examiners on complex cases. What You'll Do7
- 1Adjust medical-only claims and minor lost-time workers compensation claims under close supervision.
- 2Support claims representatives, examiners, and leads with larger or more complex claims as necessary.
- 3Process workers compensation claims, determining compensability and benefits due; monitor reserve accuracy and file required documentation with state agencies.
- 4Communicate claim actions and processing with claimants, clients, and medical contacts.
- 5Document claim files properly and ensure coding accuracy.
- 6Process routine payments, prescriptions, and status reports for lifetime or defined period medical claims.
- 7Maintain professional client relationships through clear and timely communication.
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 2Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 3Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- 4Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 5Clerical or customer service experience preferred.
