Overview
CoverageX seeks a Claims Adjuster to own Automotive Mechanical Breakdown claims in our Tampa office. You will confirm coverage, authorize repairs, and negotiate costs across a high-volume claims queue. Work with Flat-Rate Manuals and internal systems to deliver precise outcomes. What You'll Do8
- 1Verify claim coverage by reviewing contract details, recalls, claims history, cause and extent of failure, service records, and other warranties.
- 2Authorize appropriate repairs for covered claims in line with contract terms and conditions.
- 3Calculate repair costs in cooperation with repair facilities using flat-rate manuals for parts and labor.
- 4Apply contract terms to every claim, approving or rejecting repairs, towing, and rental services based on the language.
- 5Negotiate labor and parts costs with repair shops to control expenses.
- 6Document each claim clearly and consistently to maintain audit-ready files.
- 7Monitor call queues and manage time to keep customer wait times low.
- 8Address customer issues, concerns, and complaints promptly to protect satisfaction.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ years in auto claims adjusting or a related field (preferred).
- 3Knowledge of mechanical systems including repairs, parts, and labor.
- 4Ability to diagnose mechanical issues from complaint, cause, and correction details.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer and shop interactions.
- 6Proficiency in typing, computer systems, and software applications.
- 7Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on accuracy.
- 8Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 9Flexibility to handle changing work environments and customer needs.
- 10ASE or Manufacturer certification is a plus but not required.
