Burns Engineering seeks a Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Team in Philadelphia. You will own technical engineering tasks on projects of moderate complexity while collaborating with senior staff. This role offers autonomy and the chance to shape your professional story.
What You'll Do15
- 1Complete discipline specific engineering for systems and designs of moderate complexity
- 2Assist in developing design approaches and concepts on projects with moderate complexity
- 3Consult with senior technical staff when needed
- 4Develop proposals and presentations to clients
- 5Perform specific engineering studies and design analyses and assist the Project Manager in establishing budgets cost estimates and project schedules
- 6Review drawings RFIs and records of changes and communicate directly with suppliers contractors and client representatives
- 7Perform on-site surveys and inspections during design and construction stages and issue written reports noting deficiencies
- 8Coordinate project designs with other disciplines and teams
- 9Attend client and/or project meetings when requested
- 10Write technical specifications with oversight from senior technical staff
- 11Support delegation collaboration and review of project work tasks for CAD Operators CAD Technicians Designers Co-Ops Interns Engineering Design Associates and Engineering Associates
- 12Lead design approaches and concepts on projects of low complexity
- 13Provide direction to CAD Operators CAD Technicians Designers Co-Ops Interns Engineering Design Associates and Engineering Associates under oversight
- 14Observe apply and retain Burns technical policies procedures design analyses calculations engineering methodology and codes
- 15Complete special tasks as assigned
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Professional Engineering License is required
- 3Bachelor's (B.S.) Civil Engineering degree and at least 4 years related experience and/or training
- 4Civil 3D/AutoCAD experience
- 5Stormwater management/design experience
- 6CERTIFICATIONS include CPC Card BCBA AWS Certified
- 7Experience ranges: 3-5 seasons
- 8Technical skills: Python AWS React Kubernetes
- 9Soft skills: proactive good communicator analytical problem solver collaborative teamwork
