What You'll Do11
- 1Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians psychologists and allied health professionals to deliver optimal care
- 2Develop and refine division vision focusing on pediatric hematology oncology and blood and marrow transplantation
- 3Oversee Marcus Center for Cellular Therapy and GMP labs in partnership with lab leadership
- 4Drive clinical excellence across comprehensive programs and expand initiatives like immunohematology and survivorship
- 5Create unified coverage models optimizing staffing and patient transitions across all Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders sites
- 6Partner with clinical directors to evaluate and improve operational models enhancing quality and family experiences
- 7Foster inclusive recruitment of residents fellows and attending physicians emphasizing health equity
- 8Collaborate with educational leadership to modernize pediatric hematology curricula and mentorship programs
- 9Support scholarly activity through research partnerships and mentorship for basic and translational science
- 10Engage community partners to advance population health and address disparities in pediatric care
- 11Cultivate donor relationships with foundations and philanthropic entities to fund clinical care research and training
Requirements6
- 1Doctor of Medicine from an accredited school with board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology
- 2Eligibility for licensure in Georgia and ability to assume associate or full professor rank at Emory
- 35+ years of clinical leadership experience in pediatric settings with demonstrated administrative success
- 4Proven track record in research grant writing and scholarly publishing
- 5Commitment to health equity and community engagement through partnerships with local organizations
- 6Strategic vision for integrating clinical operations education and research to improve patient outcomes
