What You'll Do15
- 1Accountable for producing precise electrical estimates for all project types
- 2Manage and pre-plan estimate schedules using Smartsheet
- 3Communicate regularly with group executives on progress and high-level correspondence
- 4Assign lead and support estimators while establishing reasonable timelines
- 5Review estimates for accuracy and completeness using the Executive Estimate Review Checklist
- 6Resolve contract document conflicts and address unresponsive RFIs
- 7Establish and maintain consistent estimating approaches across the team
- 8Develop and enforce estimating standards and hold team members accountable
- 9Train and mentor staff on estimating procedures software and current codes
- 10Collaborate with purchasing and pre-construction directors to ensure accurate labor and material databases
- 11Lead weekly estimating meetings and contribute to value engineering exercises
- 12Contribute to conceptual estimates and support conceptual estimate processes
- 13Facilitate mandatory weekly estimating team meetings
- 14Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program and comply with safety regulations
- 15Support quick evaluation of value engineering solutions
Requirements13
- 1Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with ten years of related experience or equivalent training
- 2Advanced Experience evaluating and estimating design/build contract work
- 3Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred
- 4Certified Professional Estimator preferred
- 5OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- 6Ability to train others on estimating procedures and software
- 7Expert knowledge of structural architectural and mechanical documents
- 8Expert knowledge of NEC local codes and construction methods
- 9Expert knowledge of electrical materials and their applications
- 10Advanced Knowledge of Accubid and LiveCount
- 11Strong organizational prioritization multi-tasking and communication skills
- 12Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating electrical projects up to $150 million
- 13Strong work ethic and supervisory abilities
