As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will own full-scope midwifery care for a diverse patient panel in Bronx, New York, including prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum services. What You'll Do9
- 1Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care for patients, ensuring safe and evidence-based outcomes.
- 2Conduct routine gynecologic exams, well-woman visits, and family planning services, emphasizing preventive health.
- 3Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for high-risk cases.
- 4Perform vaginal deliveries and provide intrapartum management as credentialed, ensuring timely and skilled care.
- 5Provide contraceptive counseling and management, including IUD and implant placement as trained.
- 6Diagnose and treat common gynecologic conditions and infections, using current clinical guidelines.
- 7Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care, fostering informed decision-making.
- 8Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EHR system.
- 9Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance care delivery.
Requirements5
- 1Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
- 2Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- 3Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Midwife license in New York.
- 4DEA registration or eligibility.
- 5Prior clinical midwifery experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
