Overview

Certified Nurse Midwives own full-spectrum women's health care for a diverse patient population in the Bronx, from prenatal through postpartum and gynecologic care. You will join a collaborative multi-specialty network with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and behavioral health specialists who coordinate care across urgent care, primary care, and pediatrics. What You'll Do8

  • 1Provide comprehensive care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period.
  • 2Conduct routine gynecologic exams, family planning, and reproductive health counseling.
  • 3Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and the healthcare team to ensure evidence-based care.
  • 4Diagnose and manage common obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
  • 5Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • 6Educate patients on preventive health, nutrition, lactation, and newborn care.
  • 7Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR system.
  • 8Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings.

Requirements7

  • 1Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program (MSN or DNP).
  • 2Active or eligible Certified Nurse Midwife license in New York.
  • 3Prior experience in women's health, obstetrics, or gynecology preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • 4Strong clinical skills in prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
  • 5Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
  • 6Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • 7Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
