- 5Assembles instrument packs and trays for sterilization processes
- 6Controls full sterilization workflow from preparation to storage
- 7Operates sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washers
- 8Decontaminates and reprocesses flexible endoscopes
- 9Prepares surgical sets and case carts according to protocols
- 10Pulls customized case sheets for surgical procedures
- 11Audits trays for decontamination and tracks loaner equipment
- 12Checks packaging conditions before distribution to clinical areas
- 13Maintains accurate records of inventory and sterilization activities
- 14Preserves department environmental controls
- 15Attends in-service trainings on safety and quality standards
- 16Assists in hiring by participating in peer interviews
- 17Develops orientation manuals and mentors new technicians
- 18Leads by positive example in patient care
- 19Communicates new processes to the sterile processing team

- 1High School Graduate or GED (CRCST)
- 2Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
