We seek a skilled Ceramist to lead our Ceramic Department in creating precise ceramic dental restorations. This role involves owning the fabrication process from diagnosis to delivery while driving quality improvements. What You'll Do14
- 1Read and interpret doctor prescriptions to determine restoration requirements
- 2Analyze patient records including impressions models and intraoral scans for accuracy
- 3Conduct comprehensive quality control for incoming ceramic cases
- 4Fit crown and bridge margins on tooth and implant supported restorations
- 5Adjust inter proximal contacts and occlusal surfaces on full contour restorations
- 6Layer porcelain to zirconia lithium x-silicate and metal frameworks
- 7Stain and glaze various ceramic restorations using multiple techniques
- 8Contour and polish provisional restorations before final placement
- 9Bond implant restorations to titanium abutments and prepare surgical connections
- 10Wax up diagnostic casts and fit patterns to dies and models
- 11Perform detailed contouring and polishing of both wax and cast provisional restorations
- 12Utilize furnaces to burn out investment patterns and cast restorations
- 13Devest and inspect final restorations for quality assurance
- 14Lead quality initiatives within the Ceramic Department
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 5 years experience in a licensed dental laboratory setting
- 2Proficiency in English reading and writing skills
- 3Comprehensive understanding of dental terminology and morphology
- 4Expertise in fitting ceramic and metal crown and bridge frameworks
- 5Competence in adjusting and contouring inter proximal contacts and occlusion
- 6Ability to layer porcelain to zirconia lithium x-silicate and metal frameworks
- 7Skill in stain and glaze procedures for layered and full contour restorations
- 8Experience fabricating fixed implant restorations
- 9Ability to create diagnostic wax-ups and fit wax patterns
- 10Knowledge of bonding techniques for titanium abutments and implant restorations
