The Centrifugal Service Technician leads installation troubleshooting repair and maintenance of centrifugal compressors and related systems. What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide technical assistance on equipment pre commissioning start ups installations and repairs of compressed air systems using precision measuring tools and reading wiring schematics
  • 2Research complex technical issues implement solutions and document activities via work orders and maintenance checklists
  • 3Maintain rapport with customers suggest improved methods and recommend system enhancements
  • 4Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products and services such as Package CARE and Diagnostics
  • 5Conduct safety assessments and perform preventative maintenance including 47 point inspections on compressors and dryers
  • 6Work with Service Coordinator and operations teams to order parts and supplies
  • 7Explain supplier agreements and coordinate external vendor interactions
  • 8Conduct vibration and air quality troubleshooting
  • 9Drive adoption of leak detection and preventative maintenance practices
  • 10Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on high voltage systems adhering to LOTO standards
  • 11Execute daily travel to customer sites manage overtime and overnight stays

Requirements8

  • 13-5 years of centrifugal compressor experience
  • 2High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean driving record
  • 4Ability to work in diverse conditions including extreme weather and hazardous environments
  • 5Physical stamina to lift move and handle heavy equipment
  • 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer usage
  • 7Strong verbal written communication and customer service skills
  • 8Experience with preventive maintenance planning heavy equipment repair electrical diagnostics rigging and load handling
