Central Reservations Agent, Luxury Hotel & Upselling
Overview
As a Central Reservations Agent, you own the guest's first impression by booking stays at our luxury properties. You handle inbound calls, emails, and faxes, converting inquiries into confirmed reservations. You work within a tight-knit team that values precision and hospitality. After 60 days on-site, you transition to a hybrid schedule, blending office and remote work.
What You'll Do9
- 1Take guest reservations using proper hotel verbiage, adhering to brand standards.
- 2Input reservation details from rooming lists, internet, travel agencies, and sales into PMS.
- 3Maintain logs of special requests and block them in PMS.
- 4Answer inbound calls, direct them, and respond to email and fax correspondence.
- 5Apply selling strategy by tracking room inventory and using up-selling techniques.
- 6Process rooming lists, changes, and cancellations for group reservations.
- 7Control and block rooms for special groups, ensuring accuracy in PMS.
- 8Memorize hotel facilities and give clear directions to inquiring guests.
- 9Perform additional duties as assigned to support the reservations team.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 22+ years in a customer service role required.
- 3Previous upscale or luxury hotel experience preferred.
- 4Excellent telephone etiquette and written communication skills.
- 5Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 6Strong organizational and time management skills.
- 7Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- 8Ability to adapt to new software quickly.
- 9Dependable with a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.
- 10Physical ability to sit up to 6 hours per day and lift 15 lbs.
