What You'll Do8
- 1Pick up and drop off passengers throughout the five boroughs in a safe, courteous, and timely manner using Access-A-Ride vehicles.
- 2Operate vehicles with CDL Class A, B, or C with a Passenger Endorsement to transport passengers with mobility needs.
- 3Secure mobility equipment inside the vehicle to ensure passenger safety during transit.
- 4Follow assigned schedules and routes to provide reliable service across New York City.
- 5Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle condition.
- 6Complete pre-employment and random drug screenings as part of the DOT compliance.
- 7Pass a DOT physical to meet federal health standards for commercial driving.
- 8Protect passenger comfort and safety by demonstrating patience and courtesy in all interactions.
Requirements8
- 1Possess an NYS CDL A, B, or C with a Passenger Endorsement.
- 2Maintain a clean, unrestricted driving record with no more than three (3) convictions in the last three (3) years.
- 3Be at least 21 years old.
- 4Demonstrate knowledge of the five boroughs, bridges, expressways, and highways.
- 5Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- 6Authorized to work in the United States.
- 7Pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical.
- 8Commit to a drug-free workplace including random testing.
