CDL Class B Driver, Passenger Endorsement - Community Transit
Overview
You will own safe, on-time passenger transport for the Black Cultural Zone CDC, connecting community members to resources, events, and programs. Drive Box Trucks, Shuttles, and Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) like golf carts and electric trikes. You are the friendly face of BCZ, acting as a Neighborhood Messenger. This role blends driving with community engagement, offering flexible hours and paid lunches.
What You'll Do8
- 1Transport passengers, team members, equipment, and materials safely across scheduled routes.
- 2Greet passengers warmly and serve as a professional host, ensuring a positive experience.
- 3Act as a Neighborhood Messenger, sharing BCZ resources, events, and programs with riders.
- 4Maintain reliable, on-time schedules and adjust to changing needs.
- 5Perform and document preventative maintenance on Box Trucks, Shuttles, and LSVs.
- 6Keep vehicles clean, safe, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- 7Load and unload equipment or materials, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- 8Complete daily trip logs and vehicle inspection reports.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 2Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
- 31-2 years professional driving experience preferred.
- 4Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 5Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- 6Comfortable interacting with diverse community members.
- 7Flexible schedule including evenings and every other Saturday.
- 8Willing to complete a drug screening.
- 9CPR, First Aid, and food handling certifications preferred; training provided.
