You will own safe ambulette operations for American Transit Group LLC in New York, transporting elderly clients on strict schedules across the city. Your daily focus is passenger well-being, vehicle safety, and adherence to traffic laws. You work independently with a supportive dispatch team, and every route tests your calm, courteous, and safety-first approach. What You'll Do7
- 1Pick up and drop off clients at designated stops on strict schedules
- 2Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during every route
- 3Conduct regular vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance or repair issues promptly
- 4Assist clients with boarding and exiting the bus in a safe manner
- 5Engage with clients in a friendly and courteous manner during transport
- 6Use GPS directions to plan and execute efficient routes
- 7Maintain a clean driving record and uphold high safety standards
Requirements5
- 1CDL C, CDL B, or CDL A with passenger endorsement
- 2Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic citations
- 3Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- 4Ability to follow GPS directions
- 5Previous experience as a driver or completed driver training
