Overview
You own the road. As our CDL Driver Class A, you will operate trucks and trailers with a GVWR of 26,001+ pounds across Baltimore, MD, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of critical liquid handling equipment. You are the frontline ambassador for Rain for Rent, building trust with every customer interaction. This role fuses manual transmission driving with hands-on installation of tanks, pumps, and pipes, demanding both driving precision and mechanical aptitude. What You'll Do8
- 1Drive Class A vehicles (manual transmission) with GVWR of 26,001+ pounds to deliver and unload pipe and equipment.
- 2Load, secure, and unload materials using forklifts and cranes; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
- 3Assist field crews in installing tanks, pumps, pipes, hoses, and filtration systems per job specs.
- 4Complete Job Site Analyses and obtain customer signatures for work orders and invoicing.
- 5Maintain accurate DOT logs and comply with FMCSA regulations; report maintenance needs in writing.
- 6Handle minor roadside repairs and operate winch and roll-off equipment when needed.
- 7Complete paperwork promptly: rental orders, inspection forms, service jobs, and time logs.
- 8Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer schedules.
Requirements9
- 118+ months verifiable DOT truck driving experience.
- 2Valid Class A CDL and acceptable DMV record.
- 3Ability to obtain DOT Physical Card.
- 4High school diploma or GED.
- 5Manual transmission driving proficiency.
- 6Basic knowledge of truck regulations and laws.
- 73-6 months mechanical repair experience preferred.
- 8Winch operation experience preferred.
- 9Experience with roll-offs and frac tanks preferred.
