Catering & Wholesale Logistics Specialist, Houston
Overview
You will manage daily wholesale route distribution and corporate catering setups for Uptown Catering across Greater Houston. You operate our fleet of Ford F-150s, cargo vans, and 16ft refrigerated box trucks (Reefers), ensuring cold-chain food safety and white-glove service. You are the face of our company at delivery bays and in executive boardrooms. This role combines safe fleet operation with high-touch client presentation, offering growth into Route Supervisor or Fleet Manager.
What You'll Do10
- 1Navigate Greater Houston routes to deliver wholesale orders to commercial accounts on strict timelines.
- 2Drive Ford F-150s, transit vans, and 16ft refrigerated box trucks (Non-CDL).
- 3Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking fluid levels and verifying reefer temperatures.
- 4Load, secure, and unload bulk food orders, thermal cambros, palleted goods, and catering equipment.
- 5Deliver corporate drop-off catering to executive offices and boardrooms with professional setup.
- 6Set up buffet lines, arrange display platters, and light chafing dishes for pristine presentation.
- 7Serve as a polished point of contact for administrative assistants and corporate buyers.
- 8Maintain cold-chain integrity during transport, keeping hot items hot and cold items under safe temperatures.
- 9Cross-check delivery manifests and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) against pack-out lists for 100% order accuracy.
- 10Break down setups and retrieve catering gear post-event for efficient return to the facility.
Requirements7
- 1Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (zero major violations).
- 2Experience driving cargo vans, pickup trucks, and 16ft box trucks in urban traffic and tight loading docks.
- 3Class C driver's license required; CDL not required.
- 4Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly.
- 5Punctual and dependable with a proven record of on-time delivery.
- 6Polished, well-groomed, and customer-service driven.
- 7Clear communicator; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong advantage.
