Overview
You own fleet data for a midsize landscape company. 2+ years of fleet or logistics experience keeps the books clean. You track registrations, maintenance, fuel, and repairs across 100+ vehicles. You coordinate with vendors and field supervisors to cut downtime. This role drives operational efficiency at a growing Houston firm.
What You'll Do10
- 1Track registrations, inspections, insurance, and permits for all vehicles and trailers in Excel or Google Sheets.
- 2Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs with mechanics and dealerships using Fleetio or similar.
- 3Monitor vehicle availability and report downtime to Operations daily.
- 4Log mileage, fuel usage, and service intervals for the full fleet.
- 5Audit GPS telematics alerts and resolve tracking issues.
- 6Update driver files and verify DOT documentation stays current.
- 7Assign vehicles to crews and track transfers across branches and job sites.
- 8Manage fuel cards and flag unusual transactions for review.
- 9Process repair and maintenance invoices with QuickBooks.
- 10Prepare weekly fleet status reports for management.
Requirements8
- 12+ years in fleet administration, transportation, or logistics.
- 2Experience in landscaping, construction, or field services preferred.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- 4Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- 5Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- 6Strong organization and attention to detail.
- 7Ability to communicate with drivers, mechanics, and vendors.
- 8Skill in analyzing data to spot cost errors.
