Overview
You will own the portfolio spend for AVA Consulting in San Diego, driving cost reduction via strategic sourcing. You will conduct market analyses and lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and change management. This contract role requires a focus on risk/benefit analysis and short- and long-term sourcing opportunities. You will operate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable savings.
What You'll Do7
- 1Manage the spend portfolio across categories, identifying cost reduction levers.
- 2Develop and implement cost reduction strategies with measurable outcomes in the first 90 days.
- 3Conduct rigorous market analyses to inform sourcing decisions.
- 4Recommend short- and long-term sourcing opportunities based on data.
- 5Lead supplier evaluations and negotiations, securing favorable terms.
- 6Drive change management initiatives for sourcing process improvements.
- 7Provide risk/benefit analysis for major sourcing decisions.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in category management or strategic sourcing.
- 2Proven track record of cost reduction in a corporate environment.
- 3Expertise in supplier negotiations and contract management.
- 4Strong analytical skills for market research and spend analysis.
- 5Experience with change management in a supply chain context.
- 6U.S. citizenship or authorization to work without sponsorship.
