What You'll Do7
- 1Manage the full portfolio spend, tracking 5+ categories and identifying savings opportunities.
- 2Develop and execute cost reduction strategies, targeting 10-15% annual savings.
- 3Conduct market analyses to recommend short-term and long-term sourcing options.
- 4Lead supplier evaluations, including RFP processes and risk/benefit assessments.
- 5Negotiate contracts with suppliers, securing favorable terms and pricing.
- 6Facilitate change management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of new sourcing strategies.
- 7Drive cost reduction programs, monitoring progress and reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably in manufacturing or tech.
- 22+ years managing indirect spend categories like IT, marketing, or facilities.
- 3Proven track record of delivering 10-15% cost savings year-over-year.
- 4Strong analytical skills with Excel and PowerPoint for data modeling and presentations.
- 5Experience with eSourcing tools like SAP Ariba or Coupa.
- 6Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and stakeholder management.
- 7Ability to work onsite in San Diego for a 2+ year contract.
