Overview
You'll own the front counter at Capriotti's Flower Mound, crafting sandwiches and handling cash in a high-volume lunch rush. Day shifts, full or part time, with flexible scheduling for students or second jobs. You'll learn our made-to-order system and food safety protocols from day one, no experience required. You'll join a tight-knit crew of 5-8 per shift, serving loyal regulars from the nearby business park. What You'll Do9
- 1Take customer orders at the register with accuracy and speed, entering them into the POS system and handling cash transactions.
- 2Build sandwiches to spec, layering meats, cheeses, and veggies on fresh-baked buns in under 90 seconds.
- 3Prep ingredients for the lunch rush: shredding lettuce, slicing tomatoes, portioning meats, and stocking the cold table.
- 4Maintain a clean and organized front line, wiping counters, restocking napkins and utensils, and sweeping during downtime.
- 5Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing and glove changes, to keep every guest safe.
- 6Communicate with the back-of-house team to anticipate high-volume periods and restock hot items like meatballs and roasted turkey.
- 7Upsell sides, drinks, and cookies to boost the average ticket, politely suggesting combos and new menu items.
- 8Assist with opening or closing tasks, such as setting up the line, counting the till, and locking the walk-in.
- 9Provide friendly, fast service that earns repeat customers and great tips, staying calm under pressure.
Requirements7
- 10-2 years of experience in food service or cashiering, though training is provided for motivated learners
- 2Comfortable using a touchscreen POS system and handling cash, making change, and processing card payments
- 3Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs when restocking supplies
- 4Excellent communication skills in English to take orders and answer menu questions
- 5Willingness to cross-train as both cashier and sandwich maker, rotating as needed
- 6Must be available for day shifts (typically 8am-4pm), including weekdays and rotating weekends
- 7Food handler's card or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire
