Cashier/Prep at Checkers Drive In Restaurant
Overview
You own the guest experience at Checkers Drive In, serving BOLD food with speed and a smile. You work in a fast-paced kitchen and front counter, taking orders, preparing meals, and keeping the restaurant spotless. You report to the General Manager and partner with a team of 10-15 crew members. This role builds your skills in guest service, food safety, and teamwork, with clear paths to shift lead and management.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet guests and take orders accurately at the POS system, handling cash and card payments.
- 2Prepare menu items including BOLD burgers, fries, and shakes, following Checkers recipes and portion controls.
- 3Maintain a clean and safe work area, restocking supplies and wiping down counters and equipment.
- 4Resolve guest complaints quickly, escalating to the General Manager when needed.
- 5Cross-train in grill, fry station, and drive-thru to cover all positions during peak hours.
- 6Follow food safety protocols, including proper handwashing, temperature checks, and storage.
- 7Support team members during rushes, communicating orders and coordinating tasks.
- 8Complete opening or closing duties, including cash reconciliation and equipment shutdown.
Requirements8
- 10-1 years of guest service or food preparation experience in a fast-food or quick-service environment.
- 2Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
- 3Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
- 4Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 5High energy and a positive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- 6High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 7Food Safety certification is a plus.
