Overview
You own the drive-thru lane at Steak 'n Shake on Sardis Rd N, Charlotte, serving every guest in 3 minutes or less. You handle the cash, the register, and the food handoff, keeping the line moving through peak night hours. What You'll Do9
- 1Greet each drive-thru guest within 3 seconds of arrival at the speaker.
- 2Take orders accurately using the POS register and repeat them back.
- 3Collect payment and give correct change without delay.
- 4Assemble and hand out complete orders, checking each bag against the ticket.
- 5Restock cups, lids, straws, and condiments between cars.
- 6Sweep and wipe down the drive-thru area to keep it spotless.
- 7Follow food safety and sanitation steps for every shift.
- 8Handle guest complaints with a calm, positive tone.
- 9Support the crew on secondary tasks when the lane slows.
Requirements9
- 11+ year in a fast-food or quick-service role preferred.
- 2Able to stand, bend, stretch, and walk for the full shift.
- 3Lift and carry 30 pounds repeatedly.
- 4Good vision and hearing to read orders and hear speaker audio.
- 5Basic reading, writing, and math for order entry and change-making.
- 6Able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- 7Comfortable using a computer register and touchscreen.
- 8Strong verbal skills to greet, suggest, and upsell menu items.
- 9Able to stay composed under high-volume stress.
