Cashier - Front-End Team
Overview
Manage customer transactions and uphold store standards at Cosentino’s Price Chopper. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Front-End Manager.
What You'll Do11
- 1Obtain liquor license or food handlers permit within first 14 days
- 2Process customer transactions using cash register and point of sale system
- 3Handle cash including counting money and balancing drawers
- 4Receive payments via multiple methods and apply government assistance programs
- 5Issue accurate receipts and manage clean checkout areas
- 6Identify products using PLUs and ensure organized stocking
- 7Promote sales through product suggestions
- 8Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- 9Train new cashiers during orientation
- 10Complete learning plan tasks and develop new skills
- 11Support store operations and assist other departments
Requirements10
- 1General knowledge of cash handling procedures
- 2Working knowledge of cash register operation
- 3Ability to provide excellent customer service
- 4Basic math skills
- 5Effective communication abilities
- 6Multitask in fast-paced environment
- 7High school diploma or equivalent
