Caregiving Associate, Home Care & Personal Support in Indy Area
Overview
Caregiving Associate role focused on delivering high quality in home care for elderly and disabled clients at scale. You will work with a small team to follow care plans, monitor client safety, and support daily living activities. This position offers part time hours, on site in Sheridan, IN, and exposure to comprehensive care operations. You will collaborate with a supervisor and care team to maintain compassionate, compliant client service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute daily care routines including bathing, dressing, nutrition, and medication reminders to meet written care plans
- 2Monitor safety and security in client homes and report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor
- 3Provide companionship and social engagement to reduce isolation and support cognitive and emotional well being
- 4Escort clients to medical facilities, appointments, errands, and social activities as outlined in care plans
- 5Support meal planning and light housekeeping such as laundry, bed making, dusting, vacuuming, and kitchen cleaning
- 6Assist with transfers, mobility, positioning, and vital signs where directed by care plans
- 7Complete records of daily activities and observations and communicate changes to the care team
- 8Observe client health, behavior and living conditions and escalate concerns to the Supervisor
- 9Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve service quality
- 10Carry out duties as assigned by the Supervisor and follow written care plans
Requirements10
- 1Knowledge of personal care and home management skills
- 2Knowledge of English language and basic clerical procedures
- 3CPR and First Aid certification
- 4Current driver’s license and proper vehicle insurance if transporting client
- 5Background check and TB test
- 6CNA certification not required
- 7Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist clients as part of daily activities
- 8Ability to communicate effectively, listen actively, and problem solve with clients and families
- 9Ability to work 16-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule
- 10Ability to commute to Sheridan IN and reliably reach the work site
